It is a young country and bursting with inspiration and aspirations. It has to be experienced first-hand.
The opening up of Vietnam with more progressive policies just adds on to the commercial activity, specially in erstwhile Saigon and Hanoi to a slightly lesser degree.

While Vietnam did suffer war damage, probably the US strategy of not bombing 'population centres' and cities limited damage to historical monuments, which only suffered during 'house to house' fighting during various offensives. As it stands, newer buildings are coming up, rapidly and traffic is multiplying manifold. Specially 2 wheeled personal transportation.

The Food is Superb, with significant regional differences. In a way, only China and India can match or exceed the range of regional food differences and diversities.

Keep reading and Travelling!. Best.

AnilAnil Bakshihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06335264349456947503noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2887199156790477716.post-81855540552014750502012-07-12T20:55:27.013+05:302012-07-12T20:55:27.013+05:30Oh boy I had missed the first installment so did t...Oh boy I had missed the first installment so did two in one and it just looked divine. The food looked so fabulous with the exception of the worms (be still my heart) and I think I could eat my way through Vietnam. The scenery was both what I expected as in bustling and interesting entrepeneurship, and unexpected with the beauty of the historical buildings and artifacts. Somehow we have a perspective from history that it was very run down and smashed shall we say. Glad to see so much preserved and that the people find their way to make their energies count. The transportation - well that is simply divine!Loved it!! Pk now next travels show some great cocktail........Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2887199156790477716.post-44053823632828826212012-05-22T19:23:49.038+05:302012-05-22T19:23:49.038+05:30Thanks Carol,
